Our Staff at Kurtbay Optometry

Yunus C. Kurtbay, O.D.

Dr. Kurtbay is a graduate of University of California, Berkeley Optometry school. He is a board-certified therapeutic optometrist in the treatment of infectious eye diseases.

Dr. Kurtbay also has Bachelor of Arts in Microbiology and Immunology and Bachelor of Science in Vision Sciences both from University of California, Berkeley where he did research projects in corneal eye conditions, cell biology and developmental neurobiology.

Dr. Kurtbay is an active board member of San Francisco Optometry Society, member of American Optometry Association, and California Optometric Association. Dr. Kurtbay is fluent in Turkish.

Doris T. Chang O.D.

Dr. Chang is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. She is a board-certified therapeutic optometrist in the treatment of infectious eye diseases.

Dr. Chang received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Molecular and Cellular Biology as well as her Bachelor of Science in Vision Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Her clinical training was at Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Oakland VA Hospital Outpatient Clinic, and Alameda County Medical Center.

Dr. Chang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is conversationally fluent in Spanish.

Rebecca

Rebecca has been an optician in this industry for over two decades. She specializes in frame styling. She is well informed in the current styles and colors and will be able to find the perfect frame for you. She is also knowledgeable in insurance plans and can explain your insurance coverage in understandable terms. Rebecca can also recommend the best lens options for your specific needs.

Veronica

Veronica has experience in an optical setting for many years. She is quite knowledgeable about contact lenses and rebates. She is great at working with families.
